Firm History
The law firm was established in 1986 by Genelle Jennings and was known as Genelle Jennings & Associates, P.C.
David Venable joined the firm in 1988 and worked continuously with the firm until September 1997 when he purchased the firm. During the transition, the firm was known by the name of Jennings & Venable, P.C. until it was changed to David Venable and Associates, P.C. in December 1998.
Areas of practice include Estate Planning, Probate, Commercial Debt Collection, Criminal Defense, Real Estate Transactions, Personal Injury Litigation, Workers Compensation Litigation and Social Security Disability Litigation.
David Venable worked in law enforcement and the computer industry prior to earning his law degree from Georgia State University College of Law in 1987. He was a vice-president of the Georgia Trial Lawyers Association from 1993 to 2006 and formerly President of the Hawkinsville/Pulaski County Chamber of Commerce and Club Secretary of the Hawkinsville Rotary Club. He is a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church of Kathleen, Georgia.
Since joining the firm, Mr. Venable has closed more than one thousand real estate transactions. Additionally, he was selected by the Georgia Department of Transportation to research and render title opinions for the Georgia Highway 341 Golden Isles Parkway road expansion project between Hayneville and Hawkinsville, Georgia, involving hundreds of tracts of land.
The firm is a member of and is authorized to issue title insurance policies for Attorneys' Title Guaranty Fund, Inc.
